Navigating Spanish while simultaneously adjusting to another culture and also learning how to be a teacher for the first time is peak exhaustion. My plan is to lie in bed for the next 14 hours. Thank you and goodbye.

It’s the first day of English classes and I asked my students to write down a reason why we’re learning English together.

Although the activity didn’t pan out in the way that I hoped it would, this student’s answer epitomizes everything I want my class to be.
